I started as a high school English teacher. Then corporate training. Then knowledge management. Then internal communications at one of the largest fintech companies in the world. Different titles, same problem every time: the knowledge people need to do their best work exists — it's just invisible, unstructured, and trapped in the wrong places.
The moment I understood this was early in my career, after a new hire orientation. People kept finding me afterward asking: "You said there were resources here. How do we find them?" There wasn't a good answer. The information existed. Nobody had ever made it findable.
That question sent me to London to get a Master's in Library and Information Science. It drove a decade of building knowledge systems, SharePoint environments, and communication infrastructure inside complex organizations. And it's what I do now — as a speaker, facilitator, and knowledge strategist — helping organizations surface what's invisible, structure how work flows, and scale what works.
I'm a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths® coach because I've learned that knowledge infrastructure isn't just about systems. It's about people — how they're wired, how they communicate, and what they carry that nobody ever thought to ask them to share.
It's not a talent problem. It's a knowledge problem. And it's fixable.
